Member Benefits

Hancock County Arts was organized in 1999 with a vision that began in partnership with the Greenfield Parks Department to develop the arts community in Hancock County.  Today, HCA is a 501(c)(3) organization that continues to serve as a catalyst to foster and promote the visual and performing arts and other cultural activities in our community.

Hancock County Arts promotes the annual Will Vawter Art Exhibition.  This show has enjoyed increasing importance and prestige among Indiana-based art competitions over the years, helping to bring recognition and support for outstanding artists across Indiana as well as build appreciation and foster interest in the fine arts in local residents.

We sponsor gallery shows by diverse artists and art groups with opening receptions on the second Friday of every month, making downtown Greenfield an art destination. Check our event page for upcoming shows.

We host art discussions and initiatives in our gallery, student art shows, and impressive fiber art displays. Our back patio, sponsored by NineStar, ties into Greenfield’s living alley with a mural (painted by artist Steve Smith and council members). Pedestrians in the alley are treated to pop-up sculpture installations on special occasions.

We invite you to join us in promoting the arts in Hancock County by becoming a member.  Here are only a few of the benefits:
