“I love manipulating media and discovering new ways to express ideas. There are so many ways to approach art. Knowledge gained by problem solving is what drives my passion to teach others. Process supersedes the product. The teacher/artist in me keeps me fresh and open for life’s opportunities.”

Sandy is a member of the Indiana Plein Air Painter Assn. (IPAPA), Weaving IN, and Hancock County Arts. She has won numerous awards in Riley Festival Arts Competitions, the Vawter Plein Air Competition, Vawter “Best of Show,” Chalk Fest “First Place Category Winner,” and was a featured artist in the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce building. She holds a Visual Arts Education degree from Purdue University and taught as an art educator for the Greenfield-Central School Corporation, retiring in 2013.
