Start with this simple painting to learn watercolor techniques.

Michelle Kimberlin will hold an introductory watercolor workshop for people wanting to master this often “tricky” medium.

“Beginner Stage 1” of the series starts with a simple silhouette image, “Sunset in the Heartland.” Even if you have NEVER picked up an art brush before, you can paint this one. Michelle will guide you every step of the way.

All supplies are provided by the instructor. Leave with a beautiful, finished canvas that would make a lovely Mother’s Day present. The cost is $40 per person (due on the day of class, cash only). Please pre-register by phone or text (317) 498-4706.

A portion of the proceeds benefits Hancock County Arts and the Twenty North Gallery.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Michelle Kimberlin has been an artist for over 20 years. She studied under Nancy Scot and Melanie Richwine before starting her own studio where she offers classes, group lessons, workshops, and paint parties. Michelle teaches many mediums, but watercolor is her passion.

“I love teaching art and seeing the excitement in my students’ eyes as they learn.”
