Photographer Katz Finch

Artist “Katz” Finch’s photography show “Rolling on the Blue Marble” opens to the public with a reception at the Hancock County Arts Council’s Twenty North Gallery. Admission is free.

Katherine Lee “Katz” Finch has been capturing images since she bought her first single-lens reflex camera (a Mamiya NC1000) at age 14. When she captures images, she likes to create a puzzle for the viewer that gives them the pleasure of experiencing an “aha!” moment. Her goal is to present the ordinary in an extraordinary way.

Katz prefers to print the images she takes with her DSLR as she found them, with minimal editing or post-processing. But she does allow her creativity to run free with photos shot with her iPhone.

Finch’s show runs through June 30. The gallery is open Saturdays, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free.

A portion of the proceeds from sold artwork supports the arts council.
