Saturday, February 23, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Hancock County Fairgrounds, 620 N. Apple St., Greenfield, IN. Admission $1.
It’s an arts & crafts fair, a rummage sale, and a flea market all wrapped up in one. KidsPlay, Inc. children’s theatre hosts the fourth annual Arts & Rummage fundraiser. Visitors can enjoy bargains, homemade crafts and all-day entertainment from local singers, dancers and musicians. Come hungry! Donuts, coffee, pulled pork sandwiches, nachos, coney dogs & drinks will be available for purchase.

Flag painting, Meghan O’Keefe
An exhibit by emerging artists from Greenfield Central High School opens to the public during a reception on Friday, February 8, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., at the Twenty North Gallery in Greenfield.
The show recognizes talented artwork created over the past academic year by students of Lisa Sears, Sarah Cole, and Jeff Weiland.

Tim Lewis’ artwork is on display January thru March 2019, in Greenfield Banking Company’s Art Gallery, 1920 N. State St., Greenfield, IN, during the bank’s normal business hours.
Tim works primarily in watercolor but does some pieces in pencil, pen and ink, and pastels. His art is finely detailed as a result of his technical illustration background. Subject matter includes interesting landmarks, landscapes, and architecture.

Young Artist in His Cap
Patrick Kluesner’s Impressionist show, “As I See It,” opens to the public with an artists’ reception at the Twenty North Gallery on second Friday, November 9, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Stop by the gallery on your way home or after dinner to talk with Patrick, and enjoy the quality of his exceptional work in oil.
If you can’t make it to the opening, come to the gallery on Saturdays through December 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Patrick applies paint with a palette knife in most of his pieces. We’ve requested that he teach a class on palette knife techniques Saturday, November 17. Sign up while seats last.

Coloring Book Call for Artists!

The Hancock County Arts Council invites local talent to add a page to our coloring book featuring images that reflect the rural and small-town character of Hancock County. Artists over 18 are eligible to submit an original line drawing that conveys some aspect of the county. This fundraiser supports the council and highlights professional and amateur artists in the community.
Donors are asked to complete a line drawing in felt tip or ink, approximately 7 inches wide by 10 inches high.
Submissions are due by October 30, 2018. Click here for details.

“Where There’s a Will There’s a Way” by Leigh Layton, interprets quilting as transformative art.
The Hancock County Arts Council’s latest show, “Artistry in Fiber,” opens to the public with an artists’ reception at the Twenty North Gallery on second Friday, October 12, from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
Guests can meet 13 award-winning Indiana artists, who are exhibiting a range of skilled and intricate work composed of fiber materials.
See work by Leigh Layton, Stephanie Robertson, Lydia Burris, Carol Marlin, Daren Redman, Susan Fletcher Conway, Pamela Mick, Susie Goodman, Ann Luther, Jeri Warner, Mary Bunte, Barbara Triscari, and Joan Webb.

“Blending Interpretations of the American Southwest” opens with a reception on Friday, July 13, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Twenty North Gallery, 20 N. Main St. in Greenfield. Admission is free.
See works by local artists Prudy Dillon, Sandy Hall, Cathleen Huffman, Bob Hunt, Leslie Newton, William Rieske, Connie Scott, Deborah Smith, Jenny Moore Smith, Gale Sturm and Jeanne Zeigler.
These artists, who are inspired by the Southwest aesthetic, traveled to New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado to work on-site. The show includes both fine painting and photography
The gallery show runs Saturdays, 11 AM to 2 PM, and second Fridays, 6:30-9 PM, thru August 2018.
